About the Dally Canine Atlas
What this is
The Dally Canine Atlas is a free global dog encyclopedia, built by Feme Solutions. It covers 398 breeds (including native and landrace breeds from every continent), 167 clinical conditions, and 43 specialty chapters on biology, behaviour, nutrition, emergencies, evolution, genetics, toxicology, and wildlife. Always free, no account needed, no third-party trackers, works offline.
How to use this atlas
- Choosing a dog? Start with the Find your breed wizard. Or browse landrace and native breeds — often an excellent starting point.
- Dog is unwell? Use the Symptom checker. It groups signs by urgency and points you to matching conditions. It is NOT a diagnosis.
- Emergency? Go straight to Emergency vets for your city and to the Emergency & first aid chapter.
- Comparing breeds? Use Compare side-by-side.
- Save for later? Bookmark any page with ☆ and find it in Saved.
- Install as an app? Use your browser's "Add to home screen" — the site works offline.
Methodology
Each entry follows a strict schema. Breed monographs use ten fixed fields; condition monographs follow what / signs / breed-predisposition / decision-cue. Sources include peer-reviewed veterinary literature, the Merck Veterinary Manual, WSAVA and AAHA guidelines, the Kennel Club of India, the FCI, and the INDog Project.
Every clinical claim has passed the Feme Solutions vet-review workflow: AI-drafted → adversarially checked for hallucinated citations and prescriptive overreach → domain-expert veterinary review → editorial cross-referencing check → publication with named reviewer attribution → continuous update every 24 months or sooner on major clinical-guideline change.

This atlas is a decision-support and educational resource. It is NOT a substitute for a licensed veterinarian's diagnosis, treatment plan, or prescription.
Every clinical claim requires — and has received — review by a licensed veterinarian. Even so, every dog is different; the vet who has examined YOUR dog is always the correct source for a treatment decision.
Consistent with the Dally platform's non-prescriptive constraint, no entry in this atlas names specific drugs, doses, routes, or durations. Where treatment is discussed, it is limited to medication CLASSES and lifestyle interventions.
Contributing
The atlas is free and stays that way because a community of owners, breeders, vets, and dog lovers contribute money, photographs, bark recordings, translations, and clinical review. Read the full contribute guide →
Privacy
This site uses no third-party trackers, no analytics, no cookies. Bookmarks and recently-viewed lists are stored locally on your device (localStorage) and never transmitted. The search runs entirely in your browser.

Text content is licensed CC-BY-SA 4.0. Images are licensed individually — see Image credits below. The specific breed and condition schemas, the vet-review workflow, and the non-prescriptive constraint architecture are proprietary trade secrets of Feme Solutions.

357 breed photographs are sourced from Wikimedia Commons under Creative Commons or public-domain licences. Each image displays its individual credit and licence directly on the breed page. Where a breed does not have a curated photograph, a coloured silhouette is displayed instead.
